History of the Club
With the approval of the Kennel Club of Pakistan (KCP), the Gundog Club of Pakistan (GDCP) was formed on 1st January 1999. The club is functional ever since.
First president and secretary of the club were Colonel (Retd) K. M. Roy and Dennis Roy respectively.
1st dog show of GDCP was held on 28th February 1999. Col (Retd) K. M. Roy judged this show.
The GDCP kept holding its dog shows for years through thick and thin of the time. Local and foreign judges were invited to judge its shows.
In 2018 president of the Club, Col (Retd) K. M. Roy, decided to make reforms in the club to make it more vibrant and functional.
Club matters were handed over to the new management lead by Mr. Nasir Ishaq Malik.
The new management immediately initiated the registration process of GDCP with SECP. On 18th February 2020 The Gundog Club of Pakistan (GDCP) was registered and incorporated with SECP under Companies Act 2017.
Soon after club held its elections and new management committee was elected. The club also formulated its constitution and code of conduct. The club also devised a democratic method for selection and invitation of fair judges.
